Strong December Earns Miners’ Corbett National Attention

An exceptional December has earned Red Lake Miners’ forward Aiden Corbett recognition as one of the CJHL 3-stars of the month.

Corbett, who hails from Winnipeg, MB, put up 10 goals and 7 assists during the calendar month and led the league in offense for that stretch, and lenghten his lead in the Miners’ team scoring.

The Miners were also 7-0 in that stretch, part of a 10-game win streak that was snapped last Saturday in Dryden.

A key contributor in all of the games leading up to the holiday break, Corbett lit the lamp in six of his team’s seven games in December, and had an impressive four multi-goal games.

For his efforts, Corbett was named SIJHL Top Forward and Third Star of the Month across the nine member CJHL leagues

Other winners were Carter Anderson (Flin Flon Bombers, MJHL, First Star) and Mathis Cloutier (Panthéres de Saint-Jérome (LHJAAAQ).
