Miners and Lee Stone Agree to a Two-Year Contract Extension
Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners announced today that they have reached an agreement with Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone on a two-year contract extension. The extension will cover the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons, ensuring Stone’s continued leadership and commitment to the team.
Currently boasting an impressive record of 22-10-2-0 in the SIJHL, the Red Lake Miners have recognized the invaluable contributions of Lee Stone to the organization. President Jason Vinet expressed his pride in signing Stone to the extended contract, stating, “Lee has been an invaluable addition to our organization from day one, and we are very grateful to be able to have him back for another two seasons.”
Vinet further emphasized Stone’s qualities that have made him an exceptional coach and general manager, saying, “The attention to detail, strong character, and dogged determination that form the basis of a winning culture will be evident in Red Lake for the foreseeable future.”
In response to the extension, Lee Stone expressed his gratitude to the Red Lake Miners’ board of directors for their support. He stated, “First off, I’d like to thank our board of directors for making this happen. It’s a pleasure to work with a group of people committed to success.”
Stone also shared his excitement about continuing the team’s journey in Red Lake, stating, “I’m very excited to continue what we have started this season in Red Lake.
