Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners are pleased to announce the signing of talented 2005-born forward Timy Hanulik, who played the last two seasons with the Omaha Mastery U18 AAA team. Hanulik’s addition to the roster is expected to bolster the Miners’ forward group.
Last season, Hanulik showcased his skills in the NAT1HL U18 AAA, where he tallied 5 assists in just 9 games. This league is known for featuring some of the most prestigious U18 AAA programs in the United States, highlighting Hanulik’s potential.
“I’m super excited to play hockey where people really have a passion for the team, and I know the team really develops each player, so that is a huge positive for me,” said Hanulik. “One of my short-term goals is to win the league and make it to the Centennial Cup. My long-term goal is to play college hockey at the highest level.”
Fans can look forward to an exciting style of play from Hanulik. “They can expect to see a player that is a hard working, player maker. Someone willing to do anything for the team,” he added.
Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone expressed enthusiasm about Hanulik joining the Miners. “When we first heard Timy was available, it was a no-brainer for us to bring him here to Red Lake. His Omaha team was very well coached, and Timy comes to our program with a strong two-way game that should translate very well to the SIJHL.”
Stone further emphasized Hanulik’s potential impact on the team, stating, “His willingness to do anything to help his team win games immediately drew Vinny (AC/AGM Vin Jackson) and I’s interest. We think Timy can step into our lineup and play a significant role within our forward group!”
