Miners Acquire Tauter from the Melville Millionaires

Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2005 born forward Preston Tauter from the Melville Millionaires of the SJHL. Tauter, who joins former teammate Ethan Cerone as a Millionaire turned Miner, brings an impressive skill set and a strong commitment to the game.

In his brief stint with the Millionaires, Tauter showcased his talent by netting 2 goals in just 4 games played. These performances caught the attention of the Red Lake Miners, who recognized his potential to contribute to their success.

When asked about his goals for the short and long term, Tauter expressed his desire to “develop my skills and reach my full potential in the current season. I am determined to help the Miners win the league and pursue a berth in the Centennial Cup.” Looking ahead, Tauter envisions himself playing Junior A for the next three seasons, followed by a career in the NCAA and potentially professionally in Europe.

Tauter also expressed his excitement about becoming a part of the Red Lake community, highlighting the tight-knit nature and the continuous support he expects to receive. As a Miner, he is “eager to contribute to the team’s success and play a leadership role in our quest for a championship.”

Head Coach and GM Lee Stone spoke highly of Tauter’s abilities as both a player and a person. With his experience as captain for his previous two teams, Tauter’s leadership qualities and the respect he garners from his teammates are commendable. Stone believes that Tauter “plays an honest and hard game, and will immediately raise our speed and effort level as a group up front. He has a nose for the net and we believe he will produce offensively as a first year player.”
