Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2005 born defenseman Foxx McColl from the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
McColl, hailing from Elkhorn, Manitoba, showcased his skills in 11 games this season with the Stampeders, contributing with 1 assist. The Miners are confident in his ability to make a significant impact, bringing both grit and offensive prowess to the team.
Expressing his excitement, McColl stated, “My short-term goal would be to bring a championship back to Red Lake and have a good run at the Centennial Cup.” With a strong drive for success, he also emphasized his excitement to be joining the organization, saying, “I’m really excited to see the new atmosphere of Red Lake and what it’s like to be a Miner. People can expect to see a defenseman who is going to bring grit and offense to the blue line!”
Miners Head Coach and General Manager, Lee Stone, expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition to the team. “Foxx, while still only 18, has a year of Junior A experience under his belt with Swan Valley last season. Adding his talent and experience is a no brainer for us. We believe that Foxx is ready for a breakout offensively in our league, and we are very excited he chose our program.”
McColl will joined the Miners organization this week and will be in the lineup this weekend against Thunder Bay.
