Miners Acquire Dann from Swan Valley Stampeders

Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners have announced the acquisition of talented forward Nathan Dann from the Swan Valley Stampeders of the MJHL. The deal was finalized on Thursday morning and is set to greatly enhance the Miners’ offensive prowess for the current season.

Nathan Dann, born in 2004, has already made a significant impact in his young career. A well-known name among SIJHL fans, Dann showcased his exceptional skills during the 2022-23 season with the Sioux Lookout Bombers, where he impressively scored 15 goals and contributed 13 assists, amassing a total of 28 points in just 31 games.

Lee Stone, Head Coach and General Manager of the Red Lake Miners, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “Nathan is a player I have closely followed since his early days in British Columbia. He plays an honest game and provides an edge up front. His offensive abilities will undoubtedly bolster our team’s scoring potential, both during even-strength play and on power plays.”

Nathan Dann, equally thrilled about his new position with the Miners, commented, “I am eagerly looking forward to joining the Miners and playing under Coach Stone. Having faced the Red Lake team as an opponent last season, I am excited to now be a part of the ‘good guys’ when I step onto the ice at the Shaft this season!”
