Gavin McIntosh Commits to Drury University’s Men’s Hockey Program

Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners are proud to announce the commitment of Gavin McIntosh to Drury University’s Mens Hockey program.

McIntosh also credited the Red Lake community and coaching staff for their support and guidance in his journey towards post-secondary education. He stated, “Red Lake has helped me tremendously in the effort of going to post-secondary education. The coaching staff and the community have helped shape me into a better person and instilled many character traits that will help me in my future both on and off the ice.”

Looking ahead to his time at Drury, McIntosh is eager to get back into the classroom, meet new people, and hit the ice with his new teammates. “I am most looking forward to getting back into the classroom, meeting new people, and getting on the ice down there with my new teammates!” he added.

McIntosh will be pursuing a major in business finance during his time at Drury University, combining his passion for hockey with his interest in the world of finance.

Lee Stone, General Manager and Head Coach of the Miners, expressed pride in McIntosh’s commitment to Drury University. Stone commended McIntosh’s impact on the Red Lake community during his two seasons with the team, stating, “We are incredibly proud of Gavin and his commitment to Drury University!
