The English River Miners are proud to host a Cancer game we are calling “English River Miners Fight Cancer” Feb 20th at the Ear Falls Arena. Puck drop set for 7 pm. Helix Buckler and his parents will be dropping the ceremonial puck. We will be auctioning off the game worn jerseys after the game. A portion of the money collected goes to a local charity called “Memory in Miles”
Cancer has had an effect on every one of us. It has hit the Miners organization 2 years in a row now. Last Year D-man #5 Will Wickersham lost his mother to this horrible disease and this year we lost a good friend and billet mom Gladys Lupien to Cancer. This is why we want to Fight Cancer and we look forward to all donations received. As we stated a portion of the money goes to the local charity Memory in Miles. Memory in Miles was setup to help local people that are fighting cancer. It helps off set many of the costs associated with it.
