THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday it’s 2018-19 regular season schedule.
The 168-game slate will commence on Thursday, Sept. 20 and conclude on Saturday, March 16.
Opening night will feature the Thief River Falls Norskies hosting the Minnesota Iron Rangers in a 7 p.m. CT start at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
The following evening the two-time defending SIJHL Bill Salonen Cup champion Dryden GM Ice Dogs host the Fort Frances Lakers while the English River Miners welcome the Thunder Bay North Stars to Cochenour Arena in a pair of 7:30 p.m. CT starts.
In all, each SIJHL side will play 27 regular season games at home, another 27 as the visiting club and all six league squads will play twice at the SIJHL Showcase, which will be held Tuesday, January 29 and Wednesday, January 30 in a yet to be announced venue.
The SIJHL will also host its annual All-Star Game on Wednesday, November 28 at 7 p.m. at another to be determined location.
