Regular season to begin in Red Lake

Superior International Junior Hockey League announced today the start of the 2020-21 regular season. After two announced delays the SIJHL is ready to drop the puck for its 20th season.

Due to border restrictions between Canada and the United States only the five Canadian-based teams will begin the season at this time. Thief River Falls Norskies and Wisconsin Lumberjacks will not initially be on the league calendar. Teams will play a 20-game regular season followed by league playoffs.

Red Lake Miners will begin play on Sunday, November 29 hosting the Dryden Ice Dogs. Game time at Cochenour Arena is scheduled for 8:00 PM. The teams will clash again in Red Lake the following night at 7:30 PM.

The Miners first road games are scheduled for December 2 and 3 in Dryden. The remainder of the SIJHL regular season schedule will be announced soon.
