Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners are thrilled to announce the acquisition of 2003 born forward Grayson Chell from the West Kent Steamers of the MHL. Chell, who played 42 games last season with the South Shore Lumberjacks, brings a wealth of talent and potential to the Miners lineup.
Chell, a dynamic player on the ice, showcased his skills with 5 goals and 9 assists for a total of 14 points during his time with the Lumberjacks. Prior to that, he played for the Summerland Steam of the KIJHL, where he tallied an impressive 24 goals and 15 assists for a total of 39 points in just 38 games. His ability to find the back of the net makes him an exciting addition to the Miners’ roster.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the Red Lake Miners, Chell said, “I’m most excited to be going to a team that is excited to have me, and I can’t wait to show them what I can do.” Chell is determined to continue improving both on and off the ice, aiming to be a valuable teammate and a respected member of the community. With long-term goals of playing at the college or professional level, Chell’s ambition and dedication are evident.
Lee Stone, Head Coach of the Red Lake Miners, has closely followed Chell’s journey and is highly impressed by his goal-scoring abilities, particularly around the net. Stone believes that Chell’s experience in Junior A hockey last season will only enhance his skills as he integrates into the Miners’ lineup. Stone stated, “We fully expect Grayson to be a leader and one of the better goal-scoring threats in the league.”
