Promising Defenseman Rowan Fenner Joins the Red Lake Miners for the Upcoming Season

Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners, are pleased to announce the signing of left-handed                defenseman Rowan Fenner.
Fenner, born in 2005, expressed his excitement about joining the Red Lake Miners, stating, “I think I will develop and become a better hockey player and person playing for the Red Lake Miners.” Fenner also aims to enhance both his physical and mental game during his time with the team. He added, “My goal is to work on getting myself to the next level of hockey.”
The Red Lake Miners, led by Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone, recognized Fenner’s potential. Stone shared, “Rowan first came on our radar through Taylor Harnett in Waywayseecappo. After       watching video footage of both Rowan’s play last season and during exhibition this year, it was clear he was a player we wanted in our program.” Stone praised Fenner’s ability to move skillfully on the ice, highlighting his strong physical presence and puck-handling capabilities.
In the previous season, playing for the Norman Northstars U18 AAA team, Fenner showcased his talent by tallying 5 assists in 26 games. Additionally, he joined the OCN Storm of the KJHL for the playoffs and contributed 2 assists in 9 games, as the team went on to victory in the Central Canada Cup Jr B        Championship.
The Red Lake Miners are confident that Fenner’s addition to the team will bolster their defense and contribute to their pursuit of success. Fenner himself believes that a “successful season for the Miners would be winning the Bill Salonen Cup.”
