3 goals in just under 3 minutes in the third period propelled the Thunder Bay North Stars to a big road win and a 3-1 series lead over the Red Lake Miners.

A Ty Woodard power play goal at 13:48 of the first period would open the scoring putting the Miners up 1-0.  Jamie Fuchs would answer for the North Stars 2 minutes later snd the game would be tied 1-1 after 20 minutes.

Easton Glousher would put the North Stars up 2-1 at 5:30 of the second period with his 3rd goal of the post season.  At 16:44 Colton Crysler would tie it up at 2 with his first of the playoffs.  The North Stars would answer right back 30 seconds later on EJ Paddington’s second and take a 3-2 lead into the intermission.

It didn’t take long for the Miners night to fall completely apart. Edison Weeks followed by 2 goals from Nolan Desjardins in a  2 minute and 43 second span early in the third period would secure the 6-2  win for the North Stars.

Keenan Marks made 40 saves in the win for the North Stars.
