The Dryden Ice Dogs made their way up Highway 105 for a midweek clash with the Red Lake Miners at the Cochenour Arena.  Eric Clark would get the start in net for the Miners while Jack Osmond got the nod for the home team.

Miners would strike first in the contest at 17:07 of the first period.  Anthony Pileggi would score his first goal as a Miner on a shot from the point that would get past Clark.  Jack Osmond would hold the Ice Dogs at bay for the first period and the Miners took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

Second period actions saw the Miners take a 2 goal lead for the 4th consecutive home game.  Mason Mowat scored his 6th of the season putting a rebound past Clark at 3:34. Bryce Benfield would get the visitors on the board at 7:36 scoring his 12th while on the power play. Brady Frattinger scored his 7th of the season at 9:10 to tie the game at two.  That would make it the 4th consecutive game that the Miners blew a two goal lead.  Miners would turn things around when Jacob Lamoureux scored a power play goal at 15:26 for his league leading 20th goal of the season. Miners lead 3-2 heading into the third period.

Miners came out for the third period looking to make up for giving up the two goal lead earlier in the game.  Ty Woodard stepped up from the point to put a rebound past Clark for another Miners 2 goal lead.  Dryden would get back within 1 at 17:54 just after a Miners penalty expired. Ryland Maier would score on a rebound for his 9th of the season.  The Miners weren’t about to blow this 2 goal lead and Jack Osmond made sure keeping the Ice Dogs off the board the rest of the way.  Final score Miners 4 Ice Dogs 3.

Jack Osmond stopped 44 shots in his 11th win of the season.
