Keane Hired By Miners

The Red Lake Miners are excited to announce that Billy Keane has officially joined the organization in the role of Head Coach and General Manager.
“Billy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Miners program and is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential.” said the Miners Board of Directors in a statement. “With  Billy’s experience as a player along with over 35 years of coaching hockey at a high level we know he will be a great addition to our organization.”
As a player Keane worked hard through his junior hockey career to receive a NCAA Division 1 scholarship at the University of Anchorage-Alaska before finishing his education and hockey at the University Of Manitoba in the CIAU. Once his playing days were over Keane made the seamless transaction into coaching starting with the Manitoba Bisons before switching over to Junior A hockey in the MJHL.
“I am thrilled to have an opportunity to represent the community of Red Lake as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Red Lake Miners.” stated Keane.” With a rich history of development in Red Lake, I can’t wait to provide our players with an opportunity for them to become better citizens, better student-athletes and better hockey players, in preparation for major junior or college hockey.”
With the season fast approaching Keane will be jumping into recruitment and preparing for main camp in September.
Please join us in giving Billy Keane a warm welcome to the Red Lake Miners and the community of Red Lake
