Miners announced today that veteran #5 Jake Gushue will be back to police the Miners blue line this winter. Gushue had 9 points and 125 PIM in 38 GP last year and is excited to get the season started. Gushue was also the recipient of the team community award last season logging countless hours with Ear Falls Minor Hockey and other various community events. Coach Sweet-Coulter commented “Jake understands his role on the hockey team and he also knows what it means to give back and to be a role model for our youth in the community. Jake has worked extremely hard in his off-season training and has made every effort to be the best player he can be in his last season of junior hockey. Miners fans are in for a surprise when they see Jake this fall.”
