Driedger, Di Lullo tally twice as Miners dump Iron Rangers

COCHENOUR, Ont. – The English River Miners got two goals apiece from Jamie Driedger and Michael Di Lullo as part of an 8-3 victory over the Minnesota Iron Rangers in a Superior International Junior Hockey League clash Friday at Cochenour Arena.

English River got off to a quick start grabbing a 2-0 lead before the contest was three minutes old on markers from Driedger and Di Lullo.

Minnesota’s Anthony Minerva got one back for Minnesota midway through the session with his first SIJHL tally, but the Miners came back with efforts from Jared Janke at even strength and Austin Kuhn on the power play to go up 4-1 after one.

The home side them broke it open in the second be supplying four unanswered goals to take complete control.
