Assistant Coach Vin Jackson Returns

Red Lake, Ontario – The Red Lake Miners are thrilled to announce that Vin Jackson will be returning for his second season with the team. After joining the Miners as Assistant Coach last season, focusing on the power play and forward group; Jackson will now take on additional responsibilities as Assistant General Manager.

Jackson’s impact on the team last season was undeniable. His coaching expertise and dedication to developing the players’ skills contributed to the team’s success. Under his guidance, the Miners’ offensive game saw significant growth, thanks to his meticulous video breakdowns and on-ice development work.

Reflecting on his decision to return, Jackson expressed his excitement to build on the foundation they laid last year. “I’m returning to the Red Lake Miners to finish what we started building last year,” Jackson said. “We have a great group of returning players and a really solid recruiting class coming in. I fully believe that the goal we set of winning the SIJHL when coming to Red Lake last year can be obtained by this group. I also loved the community of Red Lake and how welcoming they were to me; Red Lake felt like home.”

Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone expressed his delight in having Jackson return for another season. “We are very happy to see Vin return for his second season,” Stone said. “Our offensive game grew leaps and bounds under Vin’s watch, and he was a significant contributor with both video breakdown and development ice work. Vin has great potential as a Coach, and we are very lucky he will be continuing his coaching career with the Miners.”
